Most (elderly) people are not interested in robots. They see robots as overly-complicated and unpractical. They want to be able to get around their house, take a bath, get to the toilet and that's about it.

    Love the kettle idea. Maybe by the time Charley and I are on our own, they'll have an emailing coffee pot over here, to reassure JH that his dad and I are still up and about.

    OMG -- that's *perfectly* appropriate, enyasi -- NOW WE KNOW why the elderly REALLY don't like robots -- "for when the metal ones come for you".
