dance like nobody's watching

Ms. Charisse said that her husband, Mr. Martin, always knew whom she had been dancing with. “If I was black and blue,” she said, “it was Gene. And if it was Fred, I didn’t have a scratch.”

The dancer and classic film star Cyd Charisse from a 2002 interview, quoted this morning in her obituary in the New York Times.

Cyd Charisse passed away on Tuesday at the age of 86.

So glad you did this - I just read about her death. Wow - she could dance. Isn't it hard to believe, looking at the film, that she could ever age?

Of course she has not "passed away". because if cyd charisses could die, then what would be the point of it all? Do not believe what you're told, believe what you see. And I can see her. Right now. She's dancing.
(oh and isn't it gene tierney speaking with cary grant in the back?)
