eccentric varieties

a found poem

the cell phones
in the pockets of the dead
students
were still ringing

as the police cleared the bodies

rang

in eccentric varieties
of ring tones

Found in The Talk of the Town: Shootings in the 30 April issue of the New Yorker Magazine
