do you think it's cynical? maybe the excerpt is, in isolation. I thought the whole thing was bracingly optimistic. but maybe I'm just in a mood.

no i don't think it is cynical at all or maybe it was cynical in a manner that washes away a lot of the trash we are inundated with. as a whole piece, i found it refreshing.
I don't know where you find these gems... but, they're perfect! I just thought it had just the right mix of reality and optimism mixed in. I love your blog :)
