Me too, Ms. Hoo.

My sympathies are with you and your family at this sad time.

We are also dealing with an unexpected death of an extended family member - the only comforting thing at a time like this is that you get to visit with family members you may not ordinarily see.

safe journey to you

just remember you aren't ever alone; or don't have to be...

Bach

Last night Bach held his hand to me through
the hum and vibrations of a weeping cello.

He'd been in Leipzig too long
he was sad, angry and tired.

I had nothing to offer except the pathetic look
on my face. He turned from me, shaking his head.

He bent over and sat quietly for hours.
He then played something in the air;

I was too ignorant to see his images.
when I came back years and years later

I found the sound of lament
expressed in something beyond heaven's melodies.

you guys are the best.

anne: oh no -- I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. my best to you and your family.

narthex: did you *know* that one of the pieces we selected for the funeral was Bach's Air from Suite No. 3 in D Major, or are you just trying to freak me out? ;)
