merit badge

Why didn't they have this going on when I was in Girl Scouts? (I might not have been forced to resign in protest):
Girl Scouts from troops in Chicago's near north suburbs recently helped test activities for [the Chicago Artichitecture Foundation's] new Architecture Badge program.

The scouts earned the official Girl Scout Architecture Badge by sketching buildings, designing parks, using math skills to learn how to use an architectural scale and constructing scout-sized structures out of recycled newspapers.
