more signs of the impending global apocalypse

the beekeeper

I have never seen anything like it. Box after box after box are just empty. There’s nobody home.

Beekeeper David Bradshaw, commenting on the mysterious honeybee die-off in the US reported in Tuesday's New York Times.

Nobody's sure why in some parts of the U.S. up to two-thirds of the honeybees used commercially to pollinate crops are not returning to their hives.

Spells bad news for those of use who like to eat.

(That would be all of us.)

I read this the other day as well. It's eerie. Makes me think the bees are just too smart to stick around.

My thoughts exactly - it's a well planned escape.
